Method 1. Apply Child’s passport with spouse name endorsed in passport
If either of the parents has spouse name endorsed in his/her passport then he/she can get passport for the minor child very easily and quickly. This is because if you have spouse name endorsed in your passport then there will be no police verification for child’s passport
Method 2. Apply Child passport without spouse name endorsed in passport
So many people are going to mislead you that, you can not get passport for your child without spouse name endorsed in passport. This is not correct. One of my friend recently got passport for his daughter. My friend is in USA on H1b and his wife is in India. - Child’s birth certificate
- Parents marriage certificate
- Parent’s present address proof

Steps to apply passport for child in India
Step 1. Fill the online or offline application for child’s passport
This is a very simple step. You just need to go to the online portal passportindia.gov.in. Create your account or download the offline application for and fill the information.
Step 2. Pay the application fee
After submitting the application, you need to pay the application fee to book appointment.
Step 3. Book appointment.
All these steps are pretty easy. Just follow the online instruction.
Step 4. Appear for interview with your child
Collect all the required documents as mentioned above and go to the passport office which you have selected while booking appointment.
